Special Olympics Basketball tournament By Joel

On Thursday we went to the Special Olympics Basketball tournament at ASB Stadium. First we went into the bus to get to the tournament. When we got there we went up to the seats. We had a little morning tea. After that we sang the national anthem. Next we played some Basketball games. We played 3 games with Sunnydene school,Balmoral school and Sommerville (Shelly’s class). We won all of the games. I got a goal in one of games and I felt really good to myself. In the third game I challenged a boy. He was like the best in their team. It was hard to get the ball off the boy and I passed it on to Nikhil. Then we went back up to have a little lunch. Next we went back down to watch people play. We watched Matthew play against the Howick College team. After that we sat down and received our certificate. We came 1st place. Next we went back in the bus and back to school. It was a really fun day.

Sports Day at Pegasus by Nikhil

I enjoyed the sports day at Pegasus Unit. My favorite station  was  “angry birds”. There you pull the ball and release it towards a stack of boxes. I met some students from other schools. I enjoyed the Nerf guns. I did the game “hungry hippos” with David. After that we had a sausage sizzle. I won some cool prizes.

Having fun with Pegasus by Joel

On Friday 8th of July  we went to the Pegasus Unit at Pakuranga College. When we got there we got into teams. I was in a team with Ruby and Keenan. First  we did Hungry Hippos. Then we did dress up relay and did the Angry birds. My favourite one was the Nerf gun one, because it's about shooting at the cans. Then we did dancing. I danced with Ruby. After that we went to the swimming pool area and we had a BBQ.

Visit to the Pegasus Unit by Mina

Our class visited Pegasus Unit in the end of term 2 at Pakuranga College. They organised a lot of games for us like Shooting the can game, dress up relay and the hungry hippos. My favourite game was the throwing balls into the box. There were a few rotary club students that were helping us to play those games. They were giving out a lot of prizes. I won a lamb teddy bear from the game Hungry Hippos. They also organised a sausage sizzle a chocolate cake for my friend Matthew’s birthday. They cake was really yummy and I had a great time. Thank you for everything.

We went to the Pegasus Unit, Pakuranga College on the last day of the last term. We met some students from other schools. A group of students from Rotory were there to help with the event. There were 5 games to choose from. I was so good at shooting to the cans. My team won so many sweet prizes. We had a BBQ at the end of the day.

It was so fun to be there.
