Here we are celebrating....
Samoan Language Week. 
Matthew who is in Edgewater 1 is from Samoa and his Mum kindly sent in some Samoan flowers, a basket, a lava and the Samoan flag for us. We have also been learning the numbers and about the weather in the Samoan Language.

We're off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz......
as performed by the Royal NZ Ballet.
Students were treated to several exerts from the production of the Wizard of Oz including the Scarecrow, the Lion and the Tin Man as pictured above.
We also watched a couple of never before seen and original contemporary dancers that were really different and fun to watch.

Hunt for the Wilderpeople by Mina

The movie called "Hunt for the Wilderpeople" directed by Taika Waititi has broken all New Zealand records. 

The movie has collected over $9.6 million in seven weeks time.

They are planning to  release the movie globally after 25th of June.


This movie is inspired by the novel Wild Pork and watercress by Barry Crump. 

Fitness Centre Locations

Next week, we will be visiting the places in our community where we can go to keep fit.
We have all chosen places that we are interested in and that are near our houses.
Places include: 
Auckland Netball Centre, Panmure Sailing Club, Lloyd Elsmore Park Pool and Leisure Centre, Pakuranga Leisure Centre, Glen Innes Pool and Leisure Centre, Howick Leisure Centre, Panmure Squash Club, Auckland Rugby League, Marist Rugby Club Panmure.

Today in my class we are using chromebooks for the first time. I learned how to do a screenshot on the chromebook. We had problems connecting to the internet. It was very slow.
